Greek for Foreigners

Greece is a multicultural society, which accommodates many different ethnicities. Having in mind this new multi-linguistic reality, we offer lessons on Modern Greek to foreigners, as well as preparation for upcoming exams for the certification of Greek as a foreign language. “Greek for Foreigners” is a course that consists of a series of lessons, aiming at the learning and acquisition of Greek for all levels using a blended learning approach.

Who we are

AXON is a fully licenced Greek Lifelong Learning Center of Level 1 on Foreign Language Teaching, IT Certification, Post-graduate Studies, and Vocational Seminars, as approved by National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Career Guidance of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and provides a variety of high quality courses. We offer seminars on Counseling,, Salary and Labour Legislation,Management (Executive Assistant), Digital Marketing, Graphic Design and more.

To whom it is addressed

The courses "English for Foreigners" addresses:

• Adult foreigners who are currently in Greece and desire to learn Greek as a second foreign language
• Adult foreigners who live abroad and wish to learn Greek
• University Students who study in any Greek University
• University students who are carrying out or would like to carry out their apprenticeship in Greece

What the course includes

The course includes practice in all language skills, such as comprehension and production of both spoken and written Greek, as well as Greek Vocabulary and Grammar.

1. Comprehension of spoken Greek: students learn to understand spoken words and phrases in Modern Greek in a smooth and slow pace.
2. Production of spoken Greek: students will practice Greek intonation and pronunciation
3. Reading and comprehension of Greek texts: students will practice reading aloud and understanding their given texts through a series of configured and adaptable study materials
4. Greek writing: students will become familiar with the Greek alphabet, the letters’ sounds, use, and combination and will practice producing sentences, paragraphs, texts, etc

The higher the language level that the students acquire, the greater the challenge in both materials for production and comprehension of Greek.
